MINUTES OF MEETING OF GRITTLETON PARISH COUNCIL

TUESDAY 20th  MARCH 2025 – GRITTLETON VILLAGE HALL

Present: Cllr T Attiwell, Cllr J Brunt, Cllr J Grandison, Cllr B Mc Carron (Chair), Cllr L Palmer, Cllr S Parker, Cllr S Skinner, Unitary Cllr N Botterill and Clerk.

Applicants for PL/2024/11373 & PL/2025/00105(LBC) attended the meeting to give update on their application, revised scheme to be submitted once discussed with the Planning Officer & Conservation Officer Wiltshire Council.

Applications & Appeals to be minuted:

PL/2024/11373 & PL/2025/00105(LBC)  - Granary Barn The Farmyard – New Window – No comment, pending submission of revised design following comment from Conservation Officer.

APP/Y3940/C/25/3359639 & APP/Y3940/C/25/3359666 – ENF/2022/00075 – Combe Barn Foscote - Grittleton Parish Council are fully supportive of Wiltshire Council in having this land returned to its lawful use and consider the enforcement action taken by Wiltshire Council to be entirely reasonable & proportionate to ensure that Planning Policy and the decisions lawfully made by Wiltshire Council are upheld.

PL/2025/01154 – Old Exchange – Alderton Road – Change of use agricultural to garden - No objection subject to a Conservation Area Change (CAC) application being submitted and approved in line with previous planning permissions for neighbouring properties - N/11/02686/FUL & N/11/02687/CAC.

APP/Y3940/X/24/3347591 – (PL/2024/04175) Old Byre Sevington – Garden – Certificate of Lawful Development – No update.

Planning Inspectorate statistics – December 2024, Councillors noted that enforcement appeals heard by written representation took on average 60 weeks to be determined.

Planning Applications recently determined by Wiltshire Council:

PL/2024/10941 – Old Byre Sevington – Permission in Principle for one self-build – refused.

PL/2024/10428 – Gilberts Farm Littleton Drew - Farm Sales Unit – approved.

           Bank reconciliation signed.

           Best Kept Village competition decided not to enter.

           Annual meeting – Phillip Wilkinson Wiltshire PCC speaking, Cllr T Attiwell to co-ordinate.

           PC AGM will take place at 18:30, subject to availability of the hall.

7.     HIGHWAYS, FOOTPATHS & RIGHTS OF WAY

Bus shelter - Clerk to send reminder to leaseholder.

Water elevator to be cleaned & painted (if required) as part of village tidy.
